My grandmother and a cousin both a serious rheumatic diseases, autoimmune diseases after pregnancy, when already well before pregnancy. I could no additional evidence of pregnancy causing an autoimmune disease to develop, but I wonder if anyone knows a link between the two clinical or anecdotal.

I know that pregnancy affect women who already have autoimmune diseases, but I'm weighing the risks of developing a disease during pregnancy. Any additional information would be useful. Thank you!
